On 8 December 2024, MATDOT Art Center hosted a grand opening for the special exhibition ‘Eternal Echoes: Indo-Thai Artistic Journeys’, organised by the Positive Energy Art Foundation India. This landmark event celebrates the shared aesthetic and cultural heritage of India and Thailand, offering a unique exploration of their intertwined artistic traditions.

The exhibition delves into the deep-rooted aesthetic principles, cultural symbols, and shared histories of religion, mythology, and iconography that connect the two nations. Featuring works in sculpture, painting, ceramics, and mixed media, it showcases contemporary interpretations of timeless themes such as beauty, harmony, and transcendence.

The opening ceremony began with a welcome address by the exhibition curator, Dr. Prakash Kishore, who shared insights into the meticulous preparation over the past months. He expressed gratitude to all contributors, particularly Dr. Nawat Lertsawaengkit, for his pivotal role in coordinating Thai artists’ participation.

Remarks were also delivered by Dr. Nawat, followed by speeches from distinguished guests Mr. Vipul Pawar, Head of Chancery at the Indian Embassy, and Dr. Chaitanya Prakash Yogi, Director of the ICCR (Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre).

Guests were later guided through the exhibition by the curator, with participating artists offering personal reflections on their works. The event underscored the enduring bond between Indian and Thai art, leaving a lasting impression on attendees.
