On 21 August 2024, MATDOT Art Center welcomed students from the Faculty of Archaeology, Silpakorn University, as part of their “Travel Literature” class field trip around the local neighbourhood. Led by Assistant Professors Panida Boonthavevej, Ph.D., and Eksuda Singlampong, Ph.D., the trip aimed to enhance students’ cultural understanding and inspire their writing assignments through contemporary art.
Students explored MATDOT’s exhibitions, “Things Occupying Space” and “FROM 8 TO INFINITY,” which offered a blend of contemporary context and modern artistic expression. They also had the opportunity to engage with MATDOT’s project director, Chalotorn Anchaleesahakorn, and curator, Sarana Wiriyaprasit.
The visit sparked lively discussions, with students drawing inspiration from the art and their surroundings. MATDOT expressed gratitude for the visit, emphasising the value of these interactions in fostering creative growth.
