MATDOT Art Center is the ideal destination for you in pursuit of a new experience. Located in Nang Loeng neighborhood—one of the most peaceful vicinities in Bangkok’s historic area—our well-designed infrastructure provides you with certain spaces for every kind of art and leisure activities. From a traditional white-cube art gallery, coffee café, art shop, to the rooftop bar, we aim to bring as many possibilities as we can to redefine the public perception of art space.

Throughout this locality, visitors get to see many cultural attractions that will strike them with a strong sense of nostalgia. Strolling around nearby Nang Loeng district, you may come across a hidden place like an abandoned standalone theatre—Sala Chalerm Thani—located in a still-lively first land market of Bangkok—Nang Loeng Market (8-min walk), and discover a variety of food and product selling by local people in a classic shophouse. Not to mention climbing up a myriad set of steps to the great pagoda at the top of Golden Mount (Wat Saket) (9-min walk), from there you will encounter a stunning 360-degree view of Bangkok.

Head west toward Ratchadamnoen Avenue, you’re subject to find many more art and cultural destinations, such as Loha Prasart—a “metal castle” in Wat Ratchanaddaram (9-min walk)—situated beside Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall—an interactive museum that use a variety of impressive modern technology to guide the audience through the history of Rattanakosin Island. For the gallerygoer, don’t miss a chance to visit Queen’s Gallery (6-min walk) and Ratchadamnoen Contemporary Art Center (10-min walk), which frequently host art exhibitions by renowned and emerging Thai artists.
