On 30 November 2024, an exciting event titled ‘To Hear and Be Heard’ was organised by CREO Lab of the ‘Bimbi Italiani’, aiming to share Italian culture, language, and traditions with the world through young ambassadors and their families. Celebrating universal children’s rights day, the event focused on engaging children’s emotional and cognitive senses, promoting a nurturing environment for self-expression and connection.
The young participants, aged 5 to 12, were first introduced to an intriguing exhibition titled ‘CIRCUS Reloaded’, crafted by Gianluca Vernizzi. This interactive installation invited children to observe and reflect on the current global situation through a creative lens. Following this, the children were encouraged to express their newfound insights by collaborating on a large-scale artwork, a ‘Carpet of Shared Emotions’, symbolising their collective experiences.
The event, held at no cost to attendees, radiated joy and laughter throughout the day, attracting approximately 20 children. Parents, meanwhile, enjoyed a vibrant atmosphere while observing their children’s creative endeavours. With its successful blend of learning and fun, the event provided a memorable afternoon, highlighting the importance of creative expression in children’s development.
