On 14 February 2026, MATDOT Art Center welcomed students and a lecturer from the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Major in Art and Design, Phuket Rajabhat University, as part of their Bangkok field trip. The visit marked the third day of their study tour, offering an in-depth encounter with contemporary artistic practice.

The group participated in the Open Studio event by Julia Bugram, gaining rare insight into her creative process and research. Through discussion and direct engagement with the artist, students explored key aspects of contemporary art, including conceptual development, interdisciplinary methods, and international art contexts. The exchange encouraged critical thinking and broadened their understanding of global artistic networks.

Following the session, the group visited the studio of Tawatchai Somkong, where he presented his ongoing painting series Soulscape. The lively conversation addressed artistic development, sustaining a professional career, and navigating the realities of the art world.

MATDOT expressed hope that such initiatives will inspire and equip the younger generation with the confidence and vision to pursue meaningful and successful careers in the arts.
