On 22 November 2024, MATDOT Art Center welcomed art enthusiasts for the much-anticipated Galleries’ Night 2024, an event hosted by the French Embassy in Bangkok. This annual initiative aims to inspire the public by showcasing contemporary art spaces across the city, fostering a deeper connection between artists and audiences.
Visitors to MATDOT enjoyed extended opening hours until 22:00, offering ample time to explore two remarkable exhibitions: “CITY PATTERN” at Matdot Gallery, which delves into the pattern designs inspired by Taiwanese cultural identity, and “CIRCUS Reloaded” at Blacklist Gallery, a bold and surreal take on the fantastical.
The evening also featured a unique opportunity to meet Santiago Zarzosa and Al Munro, MATDOT’s current artists-in-residence. Both artists welcomed guests into their studios, sharing insights about their creative processes and works developed during their residencies.
Adding to the lively atmosphere, complimentary refreshments sponsored by the French Embassy enhanced the evening, encouraging visitors to mingle and engage with the art on display.
MATDOT extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined this special evening, making Galleries’ Night 2024 a memorable celebration of art, community, and cultural exchange.
